After leaving college I have worked for national and local government, BT and Gillette. Though the work and environments were all different they are collectively responsible for my interest in computers, specifically how they can be used to help us do tasks more efficiently.
It was while working for the Royal Borough of Greenwich Council that I discovered a talent and a desire to teach.
My philosophy of training is that anyone can learn, we just have to find the how.
I have experience in training learners
-who are in work and wish to expand their skills
-Learners who are starting from scratch, with or without a computer and don’t want to get left behind, keep up with the rest of their family or change job/career, or maybe all of the above.
-Over 60s, many of whom have been given a computer but are unsure how to start.
Away from training I am a fan of music, film and radio. I have managed to combine these by volunteering for the local Internet radio station http://www.radiodacorum.org.uk/
